Whitley was founded in 2025 by husband-and-wife duo Sarah and Todd Hutcherson. Sarah's love for soft things, especially sweaters, led them on a perpetual search for the ideal cashmere sweater: an heirloom-quality garment expertly made to stay beautiful without excessive pilling-and without costing thousands of dollars.

In 2024, their search led them to visit a renowned Scottish mill to learn about quality cashmere production. They returned home inspired to bring Sarah's vision of the "perfect sweater" to life and got to work designing a collection of timeless, elegant cashmere pieces meant to be worn for decades.

Sarah and Todd, both natives to Los Angeles, are proud that all Whitley garments are made locally in downtown LA.
